Welcome to the official user manual of Stackana Freefall game!

Stackana Freefall is a free online Hiragana/Katakana puzzle game. Succeeding the original Stackana game, Stackana Freefall incorporates various cool features that were not found in the original game. Most important of all, it introduces a whole new gameplay experience that is more interactive and engaging!
User Interface
The user interface of Stackana Freefall is a big leap from that of its predecessor. A leaner layout combined with simple navigation makes players feel at home instantaneously. Each menu item is associated with a colorful icon and a description, saving players from having to guess its meaning.
Navigation
Navigation of the main menu is as straightforward as it can be, but may not be obvious for first time players. Clicking on anywhere within the game screen reveals helpful bubble like the one shown below:

- UP or DOWN arrow keys: Navigate along the top-level menu
- RIGHT arrow or ENTER keys: To select a menu item (thus going into a sub-menu)
- LEFT arrow or ESCAPE keys: To go back to the top-level menu
Start a New Game
The "Start" option is the very first item on the main menu. Selecting this item brings player to "Game Mode" menu where player can choose to include hiragana, katakana, or both (Mixed Mode) in the game. Upon selecting the game mode, player is then presented with the "Difficulty" menu.

Japanese culture and the unique characteristics it exhibits have never been anything
less than fascinating to me. The unwritten rules of Bushidō among Samurai warriors,
the highly elaborated kimono of a Geisha, the multifaceted chanoyu tradition, and
many other things just go to show the cultural richness of the Japanese.
